The A310 was  carb'd too. The closest Renault would be the 30 or early 25
non-turbo.  Though both are 2664 cc with 88mm pistons, but otherwise
similar.  The  K-jet system is different in a lot of ways that would make 
troubleshooting a DeLorean rather hard

AFAIK the only country to  get the "F" series engine other than the US
was  Switzerland
