Nice one! Great feeling isn't it?

Assuming the wandering revs are at idle, this could be due to a duff
oxygen sensor, unplug it (behind the drivers seat, it comes through a
rubber bung in the bulkhead) and see what happens.

T panel clearances 'should be' whatever you need to make them so it
works :)
Normally lifting the t section (skywards) fixes catching doors. Bung
some bits of cardboard box under it to see if it makes a difference,
then do a proper job with some foam pads. Difficult to advise without
seeing it of course...
