Petrol Sender Unit

I have just managed to get my petrol tank out for a good cleaning, and
I'm looking with slight bemusement at the fuel sender unit.

I'm going to try and fix it up to save me some pennies, but just in case
I fail does anybody have one up for sale? Please email me directly with
details...

A silly question, which applies to any fuel sender - if you have a
contact gently sliding up and down a coil of wire, isn't there a risk of
creating a spark??! Isn't this even more likely with the dodgy 'idiot
light' connection on the DeLorean sender? Always puzzled me, that.
