That's a loaded question Thomas...

It depends on the auction. Some are happy to have people look at it 
and on DMCNEWS there are plenty of people willing to help. Some though 
aren't so helpful.

Best to contact any seller direct and ask them if they are happy to 
have a 3rd party inspect the car for you. Even then it's still 3rd 
party.

I personally flew to the US and looked at mine before I bought her.. 
and I tempted to do it again next year. 

Better still, use the club and/or DMUK to do it for you.
