Title: RE: [doc] Urgent fixes required.....

Martin,
I'll take you up on the January date, it would be a goodpoint to meet up with the cars in Bath, you can have a nice weekend in theSouth-West, and we can work on all the bits I listed. Sounds good to me. I'll get all the parts we need when I get back from skiing in early January.Lets hope it isn't snowing on that weekend, it was snowing here last night, a little sprinkling when I woke this morning. I've looked on Ebay for glovebox lids, with no luck, sods law when I really need one, none to be found.

Stephen.

Additionally Steve, the pic you have seen may have had the original sealed
beam headlights, which are basically giant bulbs. For the UK, we need the
reverse beam pattern and the headlights are of the lens type with an
interchangable bulb. In theory this means crap can get in the lens. I
haven't tried cleaning mine but they're only a year old.I cleaned and
painted the headlight surrounds in the summer too.

If you do want headlights off Dave, can I have your old ones?

Thanks for the invite Steve, I would really like to take you up on it - the
more practice I can get painting these fascias the better. Unfortunately
I'm well and truly booked for the time being. James, Rich and I (and Joe)
are attending the Esat BT young scientist exhibition in Dublin on January
7th where we'll be demonstrating Mantis and Draven. Mantis hasn't been run
since April and as of Sunday, we're halfway through making a fibreglass
body shell for Draven so it can carry Mantis. Give me a shout around the
end of January. Perhaps I should bring Tinny's fascias along and get them
done at the smae time!! Verity was a massive help doing mine BTW. She likes
working on cars!

I also painted the front grille and spoiler with that bumpre paint. It
looks terrific (although now very muddy!)

Martin

Buy new headlights, Dave Howarth has them, believe me I know.
You cannot clean the internals. If you try you will wipe off the very thin
reflective layer and reveal thick brown paint underneath.

How do I get that brand new headlight finish then?I'd really like to get
perfectly clean lights for the shoot? I've seen some Delorean pics, and the
lights look crystal clear, if I am going to clean the insides, is there a
preferred method?

  Stephen.

BTW: Cheers Martin, I can always count on a good response from you J How
about getting down to Bath this weekend, and helping me sort the whole lot
in one go :>b. I'll provide excellent food, plentifulwine/beer, quality
lodgings and your girlfriend is very very welcome too. Hows that? Got any
time spare?
