RE: [doc] My door... and more

Yes,
and if you go back another 20 or 30 years, all parked cars ( when it was
dark) had to display at least one light facing white out front and red
rearward.
This was usually achieved by little "parking lights" that hooked on the
drivers window glass, (It was only a tiny bulb of about 2 or 3 watts), you
then plugged it in to your cigarette socket, or in some cases straight onto
your battery. On many occasions people would wake up to flat batteries.

Martin,

On my Calibra, when the car is stationary, if I turn on either the left or
right indicator with the ignition off one headlight will come on (well,
sidelight). Apparantly at some point in the past it was illegal to park a
car without it's "parking" light on.... I think it's supposed to be the side
closest to the centre of the road... in other words. Waste of time.

Cheers,

Dan

PS If the weather is rubbish I'll be there is saturday.. if it's good I'll
be tracing my clutch system to a leak.... (but I won't have Hana there
either way.. no headlights either!)
