RE: [doc] Proud owner of PSO, back online...

When I turn the switch, I can hear the vacuum sound, as each function is selected, but there is no "thunk" sound, so I think perhaps that the flaps are not working inside, perhaps this is the problem, and not the trunking coming loose. Do you know how the motor that controls the flaps is connected, which circuit is it on? wouldn't be on one of the circuits that Dave disconected would it?

In any case, I'm going to take the heating/coolingsystem very seriously, meaning, if I have to create new trunking, so that the system works efficiently on my right hander, I'll do that. I really need to have acar that can properly defrost, warm me up when the car is cold, and keep me cool in summer. With a blower that strong, there is no reason why the heating/cooling system can not be as efficient or powerful as most modern cars. As you can tell, this is a priority for me.

                    regards, Stephen.

The mode switch is vacuum-operated and won't work if you lose the feed from the engine - mine's quite entertaining because after turning the dial you wait a second or two and then hear a polite "thunk" as the flaps move. The DMCnews tech section has a bit on how to rebuild the switch, but I would exhaust other possibilities first.

My most pressing problem is the heating system, I think Dan may be close, but the thing is, none of my vents are emitting air, not even a trickle, but the blower is going like crazy. I really need to fix this, as I currently drive with the windows down, to stop the car misting up. Its a bit cold to do that, plus its getting dangerous wiiping down the front screen with a cloth every couple of seconds. If anyone has more ideas on this one, please tell...
