By my reckoning (although I'd happilly stand to be corrected!) there were 3 or 4 different types of A/C panel decal:

1. Black, only visible when A/C panel lights are on (i.e. ignition on). I think these are perhaps the rarest sort, but examples of cars with this sort would include Dusty, amongst others.

2. A/C decal with white outlines and with "heat" and "cool" text. Claire's "Flopsy" has this type of panel. If anyone has the big black embossed DMC brochure you can see it in there. 

3. A/C decal. This is what I've always (perhaps wrongly) known as the "typical" DeLorean set-up. Like version 2 but without the outlines.

4. I *think* there was a 4th version without the white outlines but WITH the "heat" and "cool" text.
