First ... Thanks to everyone that helped. I have it removed. YES!
Martin ... I did a frame off frame repair and yes, it is a LOT easier
without the tub, hosed, tubes and wires to block your every move.
Putting it back on the first time (many years ago) was a piece if cake.
Removing the fuel pump panel works well ( thanks Chris). There are still
four hoses in the way. It is one of those situations where you wrench a
tiny bit, turn the wrench over, wrench a tiny bit and repeat until it is
off.
Note to everyone ... I found a lot of metal debris in the screen on the
metering valve. Just replacing that should make a big improvement.
As far as flushing the evaporator and cleaning it... that is a mess.
I'm off to the store for some more hose.
