2 bolts that hold brackets between the metering unit and intake. http://store.delorean.com/c-334-1-4-1-air-induction-system.aspx The one bracket is part #6. The other is #20. There are M6 hex cap screws (Alan screws) holding the brackets to the intake. If you remove those 2 screws, you get an inch or so of movement to lift the entire mixture unit. I will sometime slide a small piece of wood below the brackets (between the bracket and intake) which will hold it up out of the way, giving enough clearance to get to the ignition distributor cap. Also, if you need to remove the entire intake, you can do so with the mixture unit still attached to it. This will not let you remove it from the car entirely (without removing lots of other stuff too), but you can move it enough to get your hands/tools in the VOD. --- On Mon, 8/20/12, stevedmc@xxxxxxxxx <stevedmc@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: stevedmc@xxxxxxxxx <stevedmc@xxxxxxxxx> > Subject: Re: [DML] Delorean start issue > To: "dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Date: Monday, August 20, 2012, 2:57 PM > Are you referring to two bolts > somewhere on the fuel system or the distributor. > Thanks for the advise btw. > > -- > Steve Rice > #16510 > > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
