I'm not mad -- hot, sweaty, and wet (it just rained again), but definitely not mad, and definitely not anti-LED -- my car has 155 elements in the courtesy light circuit alone. #5939 may be many things, but it is not typical DeLorean dark:

Now that I have modified their mounting method, the door edge lights will simply be replaced every 4 or 5 years as a maintenance item (the original strips went on in 2008 IIRC). Still one of the cheapest things you can do to a DeLorean -- less expensive than an angle drive.
I'm taking an A/C break, then will try to finish #5939's new steering column for an after dark test drive. I'm halfway done now.
