Last fall I bought a bunch of 3 watt solar battery tenders for my church's school buses (Coleman brand, $19.99 on sale at Northern Tool). They work so well that I just bought a bunch more for my personal vehicles. If your car lives outdoors (or within striking distance of a sunny window), solar chargers are a convenient alternative to 110v chargers.
