It is a great design.

When I lived in Houston (where it once rained a lot) getting in and out of the DeLorean when it was raining was so nice - I could stand under the raised door, close the umbrella and store it, then get into the car - dry. I haven't found anything else similar - except maybe a doorman - which I rarely encounter.
