[DML] Re: accelerator cable

Often when a cable is sticky the quick fix is to move the spring over another notch in the throttle spool housing. It does get tiring though. There are actually TWO springs in the throttle spool. If you are having trouble the fix is to disassemble the throttle spool, clean, relubricate, reassemble, and adjust. I also recommend lubricating the throttle cable as per the recall. The direct answer to your original question is that the accelerator pedal should be about the same as any other car you may have, it should not feel stiff, sticky or tiring.

If this is normal, I might hook up a servo system in replacement for the cable. Has anyone done this? Any help would be very appreciated.
