I have seen first-hand how the platinum plugs can leak at the seal between the shell and the porcelein. They are expensive and meant for extended use (high mileage) between replacements. Since most Deloreans do not put a lot of mileage on the regular plugs will not wear out in 10 years. There is no gain in performance so why spend the extra money?
