The typical tailgate is essentially flat or slightly concave. The DeLorean door
is what a golfer might call a dog leg, at nearly a 90 degree angle. It needs 2 
lift systems in 2 different locations to generate sufficient leverage to 
overcome the physical limits of door lift struts and the geometry of the door.
