There is no deadline on contributing the engine and frame number. It's an ongoing project. The engine number is on a small plate maybe 1" X 3" on the driver's side of the engine. You have to look in the space between the catalytic converter and the engine, toward the front of the car.

The frame number is also on the driver's side of the car. It's welded on a small plate on the frame toward the rear of the frame. It's next to the muffler. It's best seen while under the car. If you are standing behind the car staring at the engine the plate faces toward your right.
