You still have one of the original as I do from the original ones and there
are a lot of cars with original parts depending on how they are cared for
are still using the original angle drives, fuel pumps and other parts that
have since been replaced. 
That's good, hang onto it.

I believe the angle drive I am using was installed in 2004.  It is
still working perfectly, and I do not expect to change it any time soon.

If the design has been improved since 2004 than that is a boon to the
DeLorean community.  But as far as I am concerned the 2004 design
(with a grease fitting) was just fine.

John, in case you haven't noticed I am moderating this week. 
Technically these hearsay stories are violations of DML policy but my
instinct told me to let you slide this time.  As we all know, "I know
a guy who . . ." stories are impossible to verify or refute.  If you
want these stories to be taken seriously, then the people who
experienced them should post the stories themselves and sign their
names to their words.
