Pretty sure Bruce Benson and Mike G debunked that myth a while back.  No esprit windscreen matches the DMC part. Seems to be urban legend.

I need a front windshield also, I remember reading something about the Lotus windshield being an exact match, J.Delorean uses the Lotus windshield in production, any comments?

Anyone out there have a decent used windshield they would like to sell???  



05117 has a badly cracked windshield and I need to replace it in the next month or two. I finally was able to locate a good glass company who will do used windshields. Most don't want the risk associated with windshields breaking on them, even if you sign a wavier. I finally went to a locale car restorer and found out who they used. They claim the company they recommended has never broken a windshield on them and they have had over 30 car windshields replaced. Sounds like pretty good odds to me.
