RE: [DML] Re: stuck drivers door

Somewhere out that on the interweb I know I have read a great theory of
operation and a walkthroughof how to fix it - better than the manual.

The 1 sentence version is that both front and rear door locks have two
rods running to each, one locks and unlocks the door, the second
releases the latch once its unlocked...

I just did this on a car 2 weeks ago. You can remove the upper interior
door panel with the door closed.

Once you have it open, you can see exactly what is going on and
hopefully figure out what needs to be done to get the door open. I
imagine there is not one common problem to a stuck door, but in my case
the mechanism was stuck as if someone was holding the door handle open
and therefore could not unlock the door. I was able to release it,
unlock the door, and then open it.
