Harold, If you were in my shoes and hear all the stories of the pump problems you wouldn't believe. The design is old and due to the low quantity used now days Bosch and others making the 957 just won't try to modify the problems. If you have the early true German made pump then that is why you and others are having such good luck. If one of them goes let me know and I will have it rebuilt. The OEM Bosch part (the one calling for a banjo fitting) has worked well in my car for over 20 years and 70,000 miles. I've had two other DeLoreans - one I put 90,000 miles on it and another with 30,000 - all OEM pumps. The boots and covers I replaced about every 5 years because the covers shrank. I have replaced fuel lines, accumulators, RPM relays and filters. But, the fuel pumps have performed great.
