I have experienced a brief hesitation using John's setup when accelerating quickly around a turn, and I'm willing to call it a feature, not a problem. I'm still running my original fuel sender (it works while I can't get the new Houston ones to read right) which does not properly turn on the low fuel light on the dash. That pause I get when the tank is very low is a reminder for me that I need gas now, or I can call AAA in 5 miles. On the very few occasions its happened, I've been very glad it did.
