JZD's main failure is that he wanted to become a sort of GE(General
Electric)and to branch out into different businesses,as was seen with
his snow grooming vehicle/aircraft tug/future bus/trying to buy out
ailing car manufacturing business....everything but staying on track
with his core business the Delorean,of course other factors played in
his Business demise, such as building a GM size factory for a Lotus
size business, burning monies as if he was Still working at GM,(aka
Park Ave HQ)production output as again,as if working at
GM,overpricing his product for the times, and at the wrong time
era,and not making it a global product,poor press/goverment
relations,A poor choice in making it a one product company/one style
car..had he had the option for a Convertible/Normal doors,T-
Tops,PAINT..it would have detracted from it's other problems, namely
being underpowered, and the the Man himself JZD did not help things
out with the coke deal..that could have been handled without ending
the way it did!
