Like any business the first priority in manufacturing an automobile is to keep the cost at the manufacturing level as low as possible and still meet the duribility and quality level desired. To design a vehicle that requires every part to be engineered vehicle specific just doesn't make sense. For example the Girling brake master cylinder is used in other vehicles, the Saab 900 comes to mind, but the rear engine configuration of the DeLorean required that the cylinder be modified with bias toward that configuration. The reverse running climate control blower motor that you used as an example was actualy used in that configuration in at least one GM car. It's entertaining to talk about "conspiracy" theory's but the ultimate goal of DMC was to produce and sell an automobile for profit. They failed for a number of reasons including some that were beyond their control. Taking the time and expense to make every part unique to the DeLorean beyond design necessities makes no sense.
