Okay, I was told wrong. I sit corrected.

On the other hand, most of the DeLoreans I've seen have the hot-air
pipe removed from the breather assembly. I was told that the reason
that was there was to help the engine warm up more quickly, but that
it really is unneccessary in daily use. My car doesn't have that
hot-air pipe, either (although the "stove" is in place) -- the hole on
the pontoon air duct has been taped off.

Am I again misinformed?
