When I lived in St. Petersburg, FL for about 4 years, I kept my car
and spare parts in a Public Storage garage (9x20 I think). It was
clean, dry (concrete floor) and had security. I had no problems. It
was about 10-15 min from my house and it was a great option for me. I
took car in and out regularly. I met several classic car owners that
kept their cars in the storage facility too.
When I lived in Houston I had 3 DeLoreans and I kept two in public
storage garages there too.
These days, in the northeast, I keep my DeLorean in a garage at a
private facility. I think a garage is much preferable to keeping the
car covered and outside if you can swing it.
