Perhaps another way would be to follow Lotus's lead and do it the way it was done in the Esprit. It is a hydraulic system so you would need to hang a pump on the motor and run lines from the front to the back. The Esprit is very similar to the Delorean in many ways, it may not be too hard a stretch. Obtaining the parts may be the big problem. That and pricing.
