This is not an answer to your question, sorry, but I'd never driven a car with no power steering until I got the D. All you have to do is get the car rolling and it's easy, because the front end of the car is so light. It can be a trifle stiff during parking, but I'd say she has nothing to be nervous about! I got used to it after a few days, and now when I drive my other car (which has power steering) it's the one that feels "weird!" :) But to try to answer your question: No, I don't think anyone ever has installed power steering in a DeLorean, but if you really want to, I'm sure you could find a way!
