No, I think the problem is leaves, acorns, dirt, rainwater, etc
accumulating in DeLoreans that sit for extended periods of time.

I also think there may well be a design flaw in the passenger side oil
galley (too thin) since every PRV I've encountered with rot lost it on
that side.

BTW: Those real deep recesses are mounting bosses (upside down) for
crankshaft bearings, if I remember correctly (I'm in DC and don't have
access to Volvo literature at the moment). Won't ever rot through
because they're totally solid underneath.

BBTW: If antifreeze is so corrosive, what are we to do about our
cylinder banks, which are nothing more than bathtubs of coolant? How
about the aluminum tubing to and from the radiator? My expansion
bottle is also aluminum (predates the stainless models). Isn't the
water pump housing aluminum?

FWIW: I threw away the steel heater core tube under my intake manifold
in favor of rubber hose. I do have an adapter under there to join the
5/8" and 3/4" hoses.
