The usual way to remove the plug is to drill a small hole not all the
way through, and then screw a slap-hammer with a sheetmetal screw into
the plug and slam it out. A much neater way is to disassemble the
mixture unit and use a hammer and punch to knock it out. Takes a lot
more time.
