And I thought "Shrinkage" is something you worry about when you wear a
bathing suit in cold weather! That cover boot doesn't do very much
anyway. And if it isn't installed right it shrinks so that it can't
fit right. IMHO it is only there to keep any stray moisture or dirt
from getting into the pump boot. The real sealing is done by the pump
boot. In fact, you should remove the cover boot and inspect the pump
and pump boot once-in-a-while to make sure nothing is leaking and
there is no corrosion on the pump or the wires.
