[DML] Shrinkage? (ahem)

I'm a bit concerned about the size of my 106684 fuel pump cover seal.  I
bought it 2 years ago NOS and it has just never fit well.  Any time I
have opened the access cover over the pump the seal has come loose, the
clamp hanging around the hoses loose and undoubtedly debris able to
enter my tank.  Its just too small to do the job.  I bought it from a
proper vendor, but I'm sure its 25 years old.  Is there a source for a
new or alternate part?  Is the NOS inventory normally just fine and I
just got one bad egg?   Advice appreciated.
