I don't doubt that many people have used an Audiovox or other unit connected to pull on the throttle spool without a problem, There is however, potential for a problem. Also the amount of pulling on the spool with the wheels off the ground will be a lot less than that required when actually moving the car, especially up a hill.... D² & 6530 & 5844 without a working engine but now with nice new wipers... The cruise control does not pull on the throttle enough to pull the cable loose. I had my car on jackstands in 5th gear at 2000rpm and this is almost 55mph. I had a friend hit the brakes and let the car slow down and then re-engage the cruise at all different rpm's and the cruise never pulled hard enough to pull the spool where the throttle cable could come loose. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
