Thanks Wilson, it was fun for me too. I was hoping we would have more 
time for driving the car on the highway and you could see how it 
loves twisty roads, but I am glad it gave you at least a taste of the 
Delorean. My car is in good shape, but it has its warts as well, I 
can certainly see where a refurbished car with a warranty could bring 
a piece of mind and reliablity you can't get from buying a car from a 
private party (No my car is not for sale!).  I am even jealous enough 
of some of the cars out there that I have been kicking around the 
idea of doing my own frame off restoration to make my car better.

The show was great fun, the Delorean was certainly the hit of the 
show. This was confirmed by the organizer, who couldn't believe the 
crowds around the car all day long! I did have one of the best 
vantage points in the show which certainly helped. I was at the end 
of the block facing the direction where most people came up the 
block. You could hear people from 100 feet away exclaim "Hey look 
back to the future!" or some similar statement. 

Someone mentioned in a previous post that its a good idea to make 
friends with the car(s) next to you and this is great advice. This 
show was for orphan cars (Cars no longer manufactured) and most of 
the cars were very original to their manufacture, except for the poor 
guy next to me. It was a 40's Studebaker but it wasn't your 
grandfathers Studebaker. Frenched tail lights, shaved door and trunk 
handles, custom interior and a big giant blower sticking up. Although 
it was a very beautiful expensive car to build it got lost in the 
crowd. I finally had to adjust position of my car a couple of feet 
because people would bend over to look into the passenger seat of the 
Delorean and back into his beatiful Teal paint job.

I did allow some people to sit in the car and take pictures and yes 
my stainless was a mess of fingerprints after the show. Maybe when a 
car is for sale the seller should try to market it to banks and other 
places prone to burglaries, its just about certain that a clean 
fingerprint could be lifted from the scene!

Thanks again for coming up to visit Wilson and yes we can arrange for 
another longer test drive, I'm just not certain when, maybe at the 
RMDOG gathering August 11? I have not RSVP'd yet but I am going to 
try and be there.
