Hi Ed,

     Glad to have you as a new DeLorean owner.  This is the place to 
get answers for your questions.  

     One thing over looked on the parking brake is the rubber 
covering for the handle. It may not be going all the way down because 
the bottom part gets stuck on the carpet.  As you release the handle 
and lower it, also squeeze the bottom part of the rubber cover to 
make sure it goes down between the carpeting.  

     Everything stated about stainless care is great, but you can go 
further.  The car has twenty-five years of oxydation on the metal. To 
really get it looking like new stainless, you need to clean and 
polish the metal.  I have found the spray cleaners aren't as 
effective.  I haven't tried them all.  My wife sells a liquid 
cleaner/polish which will clean and shine the stainless like new.  It 
will also take out many stains other products don't.  It will leave 
the car spot free after a rain.
