The control adjustments for the 5-speed are in the Workshop Manual
F:07:01-02.
To shift into reverse you must LIFT the gearshift knob as you shift
into reverse. Before making adjustments make sure everything works
nice and freely. If you have to, disassemble, clean, lubricate, and
reassemble. This is especially applicable to the bell-crank. Also make
sure the rubber bushings in the links are not worn out or missing
before attempting to adjust. Another thing to look for is the bolt on
the transmission holding the link that rotates on it. I have seem them
stiffen up so that you can't shift at all.
