You were robbed by DeLorean One. As with anything, knowledge is power. DeLorean One is not the greatest option unless you like giving money away. I'm assuming you got the usual chat from Ed: "Don't take your car anywhere else. If you care about your car, you'll let us repair it. Blah blah blah..." It's all bogus. You'll find better prices, more reasonable repairs, and super nice people here: http://www.dmccalifornia.com/ For the amount Ed charged you, you could have a pristine, ready-to-drive DeLorean. I've been reading your posts lately, and most of them are the typical new-owner questions to which you'll find easy answers by searching the archives. You need to do your homework. Read the www.dmcnews.com site, cover to cover. Good luck with your car, and if you question the cost of any repair, or would like to know your options, you can ask us here! Just got finished with my last DMC fiasco and wanted some advice... I bought a 1981 with 12,000 miles on it for $14,000 (I know now that the millages is obviously wrong) from the cars second owner. The car was advertised as "excellent condition" etc. I took it for a test drive and bought it. Well, to make a long story short within 2 months I had to pay Delorean One Motors of Los Angeles, CA almost $20,000 for repairs. The car was a chop job and all the major systems and components had to be replaced. I've just spent another $3,000 in repairs for more things that popped up and now I have a fuel system issue. I haven't even begun to refurb the interior (I want to replace the seats and carpet). I don't see the car as a financial investment; I just love and enjoy owning and driving it. I'm just sick of every day a new problem popping up and don't know when to call it quits as far as putting money in it. __ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
