I just went through this while doing a ritualistic "valley of death"
overhaul. Having good experiences with their other products, I
decided to give POR-15's Engine Enamel (aluminum color) a try. I
applied it with a foam brush (to super-clean metal, of course) and it
was extremely smooth. Overall, I'm very pleased with how it turned
out; enough so that I'm already planning to use it again. Here are
some photos that will show you the color and texture of this paint:

The jury is still out on long-term durability, but so far, so good.
