You can do anything with money. The real question: is there a large enough market for the trouble/expense for new tooling? I'm guessing no since panels are readily available through all of the vendors as well as private parties - and that includes the coveted left front fender. Have you seen the photos inside of DMCH's warehouse? They have more panels I will ever need in my lifetime. Same thing with PJ Grady and DMCGG. Not trying to crush your spirit, bro. Just telling you what I think, (since you asked). :) Johnny 5518 AZ-D On 12/15/06, wylldshark <wylldshark@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hey guys, > > Is it possible for a person to take a panel and make a mold of the > shape to make a stamp? > > I was thinking about the feasibility of making new panels and that > seemed a good way to make new panels since T304 stainless is readily > available instead of having a custom shop hammer and roll a new panel > at an ungodly price. > > That way a company could become a limited run provider of panels for > cars that needs new panels, mainly left front fenders, but any panel > or maybe even plastic panels? > > What do you think? > > Rob Greenhaw > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
