Thanks, I'm going to jack up the car tomorrow,  It looks like the U shape washers fell out. Is it possible I don't need shocks at all, but need for these to be replaced and just have the wheels realigned?

Remove the aluminum shields (left and right) that are just in front
of the rear wheels. They are held in place by 3 nuts each, one side is
under the battery and the other inside the "vault" under the carpet.
