Tom, This is probably a long-shot, but it is I problem I have as well. I am plagued with an annoying rattle in the front suspension as well, after a lot of searching it turned out it was the front passenger side shock. Of course this couldn't be simple, it turns out the shock had come loose from where it bolts through the frame shock tower and started to wear away at the metal of the frame. This rubbing caused the hole in the shock tower to expand in an odd shape and eventually allow the shock to rattle around in the frame, even when fully torqued down. There's really nothing I can do short of welding in some new metal in that area, which will most likely happen when I start replacing all of the suspension next year. This is really easy to check, especially if your car is still at the stock ride height in the front. You will be able to easily see the stud that sticks up through the shock tower and if it can wiggle around in there you have probably found your problem. When I push and lift it does the clunk sound. My steering bushing looks ok and I can't really tell if any bushing on the lower control arm are bad. It "looks" ok.... What are the chances of a bad shock? This is the new DMCH strut. I'm asking here only to see if this is even possible for a new strut with only a few thousand miles on it, if that..... > > Any suggestions? > > Thanks > > Tom > > > Find me on Google Earth > 44°06'52.72"N 70°35'39.90"W > > --------------------------------- > Access over 1 million songs - Yahoo!
