Mike,
I'm sure everyone is aware that the driver's side hose isn't a perfect fit
as it comes. But, I would also assume that people that won't a more perfect
fit and with a knife would trim of the longer end and it will fit without
rubbing the back wall. By doing this you can also adjust the amount of
tubing you won't around the aluminum tube where the clamp goes.
I have seen some setups where the aluminum tube varies in length and I like
the capability to adjust.

Subject: [DML] Re: Driver side water pump coolant hose
Im sure some people are fed up of me saying this but the 'current'
hose being offered is a crap fit. On over a dozen cars i looked at in
June all with the new hose, each one rubbed against the rear facia or
had a 'kink' in it to some degree. The oem hose had a nice gradual
curve off the water pump onto the rigid metal line but the 'new' one
being offered is a series of angles and straights x ref'd from
another car. The main problem with this hose being that the first
straight length (coming off the 90 degree bend on the water pump) is
too long so that the hose rubs against the rear facia. No mater how
you adjust this up, down etc it still does not fit correctly. Im
still looking for a correct hose i can purchase / get in the UK......
Regards
Mike
