I performed the same trick with the drill on another DeLorean and we used a orifice tube repair part. You have to cut off the section with the hole in it and apply this new part that has a compression fitting on the end. I ended up taking out the evaporator by the book, and removed center console, glove box, kneepad, etc. Took out the entire heater/AC box. What a bitch job that is!
