With at least two great options available for recovering seats these days,
NOTHING beats an actual reupholstering unless your seats are really good to
begin with. My seats were fairly tight and had a couple of sun damage spots
and I tried everything (except for leatherique) to get them softer. Maybe
leatherique would have helped but it can't fix cracks. I bought new black Grady
seat covers and had my seat frames blasted, painted and greased by a local
classic car upholstery shop who also did the recovering at $100/seat. they also
replaced all the foam and cushions, making my seats like new and 10x more
comfortable. In my opinion they are the nicest DMC seats I have ever seen and
I have had many compliments from other owners too. Not only do they feel
good, but having new seats makes the rest of your interior look a lot better
too.
