I was facing the horrible and expensive task of replacing my
evaporator core due to it being frozen to the accumulator (corroded
nut). I shot it about twice a day over the course of a week with PB
Blaster (penetrating oil) and it came off with relative ease after
that. I didn't try to remove the nut during that week, so I don't
know how much of my soaking efforts were overkill... but I'd just
recommend giving it more time to soak.
