What you hear is probably the rear wheel bearing(s), one or both,
slipping in the housing. It is a common DeLorean trait. The noise does
not mean there is a bearing problem but a bad bearing can cause the
noise frequency to increase a lot. The movement is very small but it
is snapping from stop to stop in the housing and the noise is
amplified. I have tried to put a small amount of synthetic gear oil
around the inside of the bearing to lubricate the housing some and
virtually stopped the noise.

a "clunking" noise heard from the rear of the car. I have since
tightened down the body-bolts in the engine compartment and replaced
the TAB's with Toby's TAB's (Grrrr, seized bolts). However the
clunking is still heard, primarily when rounding corners. What else
could this be? Suspension bushings? Loose shocks?
