Thanks for the post Marty. Did you happen to catch the small
photo of Weird Al a few pages after D Rex, just above Run DMC?
Yes, the July 2005 issue of WIRED is finally out and I was very
pleased the D Rex photo was larger than the George Barris photo
with "his" latest creation on the opposite page, the Mini Limo.
BTW: The D Rex near full-page photo and article is on page 122.
The theme of the July issue is Re-Mix and the section with the
D Rex is titled "Crash/Ups" Gearhead hackers redefine hybrid cars.
And as Marty mentioned, it does appear like the D Rex is about to
crush the little Hummer Golf Cart in the lower right hand corner.
Just a few notes: Lots of time spent finding a "cool" background
and they cropped it all out, with only me and D Rex in the photo.
Two dozen rolls of film were used, both color and B/W, with a two
hour photo shoot in the day-time, plus another hour that night.
Although I missed the chance to get D Rex in the current Batman
movie, maybe I'll get another chance if they film the next one in
the Chicago area again, even if its just a prop in the background.
The D Rex and the new Batmobile sport the same tire make and size.
Later,
Rich W.
