I've had great luck on rotors that are not too badly scored or warped
with a tool called the "Flex Hone". I've not seen it in stores but
seard on line for "Flex Brake Rotor Hone" and you'll find it at any
number of tool sources for about $40. Just the thing for rusty but
straight rotors, and it doesn't thin them like turning them does.
This leaves a nicely honed finish without grooves or pits.
