[DML] Brake Rotor question

While doing the restore I sent an entire set of rotors (front and back) to the sand blaster with all my other parts needing to be sand blasted.  The rotors were good, just really dirty and had a glaze on them.  I didn't get them resurfaced before I put them on thinking that eventually the pads will smooth the rotors out.  While driving you can definately hear the rotors giving off a harsh sound.  The sound goes away when I brake.  How long do you think it will be before the rotors smooth out?
