You may also want to mention that a higher voltage coil allows a
larger plug gap, increasing flame propagation.

And performance coils recharge better at high RPM's.

I have run into long term problems running 45,000 volts (Pertronix II)
through standard 7mm wires. Resistance builds up until they stop
passing juice altogether, just like a burned out heating element. 8mm
seems to be the lower limit (your 8.5mm's are quite nice -- I expect
them to be the only set I'll ever buy).
